Abstract:
Quantum computing is a rapidly advancing field that leverages the principles of superposition and entanglement to perform computations that are infeasible for classical computers. This seminar provides an in-depth analysis of the state of commercial quantum computing technology, focusing on leading vendors and their quantum systems. A particular emphasis will be placed on IBM’s quantum computing ecosystem, including its cloud-based quantum computing services and advancements in quantum hardware. Furthermore, the seminar will explore quantum-safe cryptographic technologies and industry roadmaps addressing security challenges in the post-quantum era. By examining current capabilities, limitations, and future developments, this lecture aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the commercialization of quantum computing and its implications across industries such as cryptography, optimization, and artificial intelligence.
