Abstract: In recent years, the field of optoelectronics and photovoltaics has undergone a profound transformation driven by the emergence of new materials, device architectures, and fabrication strategies [1]. The convergence of perovskite and organic semiconductors has opened unique pathways toward devices that are not only efficient and scalable but also mechanically flexible, lightweight, and capable of integrating multiple functionalities beyond energy conversion [2]. Our research focuses on the development of perovskite and organic semiconductor technologies capable of meeting the growing demands of next-generation energy conversion and photodetection systems. Through a combination of material engineering, device optimization, and environmental testing, we demonstrate strategies that enhance both functionality and operational stability across a range of device architectures. In the first, we study flexible printed perovskite photovoltaic and photodiode devices fabricated through scalable, low-temperature solution processing and printing methods [3–5]. We investigated both regular (n–i–p) [3–5] and back-contact [6–8] configurations to evaluate their photovoltaic and optoelectronic characteristics. In the second, we examined the radiation stability of perovskite and organic solar cells and photodiodes under exposure to high-energy particles [9–12]. We systematically evaluated their performance following proton and heavy ion irradiation to understand degradation mechanisms at the material and device levels. Finally, we developed semitransparent organic photovoltaic devices with controllable optical transmission and high power conversion efficiency [13]. Overall, our work highlights a comprehensive approach to advancing multifunctional optoelectronic and photovoltaic technologies. By integrating flexibility, stability, and tunable optical properties into device design, we show that it is possible to move beyond conventional single-purpose solar cells toward adaptive, high-performance platforms capable of operating in diverse environments and applications.
